So much paper is used in wrapping gifts each year. Not just at Christmas time either, all year round there are special occasions. Now just imagine all this paper winding up in landfills. Reusable Bags
Think about placing your gift inside a cloth bag that someone can use for shopping. These shopping bags can be used over and over again. Just wash them when they get dirty and they are good to go again. These come in a variety of sizes and colors. You can even make your own if you are handy with a needle and thread.
Cloth gift bags with drawstrings are another great way to wrap presents. These can then be used to wrap other gifts throughout the years. It does not matter whether you need small bags for jewelry or larger bags for even cloths. Like the shopping bags above you can make these in a snap if you sew. Usable Items for Gift Wrap
Using things like blankets, towels and wash cloths can be other ways to wrap package green style. You can even choose to find them in organic cotton or other natural fabrics if you choose. Say you plan to give some new pillows to your children for Christmas; you can add a new blanket and wrap them in the blanket. Use some organic yarn in place of ribbon.
